• No stress — normal wear is expected. We just ask families to treat toys gently. A replacement fee may apply for lost or damaged items beyond use.

    Example:
    If a wooden block from a large set gets scuffed, colored on, or one piece goes missing, that’s totally fine.
    But if a musical toy with multiple removable parts (like a xylophone with mallets or a mini instrument kit) comes back with key pieces missing or broken, we may need to charge a replacement fee.

    We know things happen — just let us know, and we’ll work with you to find a fair solution!

  • All toys are sanitized and checked between uses.

  • Yes! You can browse the catalog or make a hold request if what you’re looking for is already checked out!

  • Need a change before your next full swap? Families may return 1 toy mid-month and pick a new one — just let us know a day in advance so we can prep your selection!

  • Yes! We currently offer local delivery options to make toy swapping even easier. You can choose porch drop-off or meet us at the local library.

  • Your toy selection window opens 7 days before your scheduled swap date, and selections must be finalized at least 24 hours before your swap. Just head to the toy catalog to add your toys to your cart and complete the check-out so we’ll receive your picks!

    This window gives you plenty of time to explore the toy catalog and make your choices — plus, selecting early helps ensure:

    • First pick of available toys

    • A smooth delivery or pickup

    • No interruptions in your subscription

    Because we personally deliver and pick up your toys in one trip, we’re unable to complete your swap unless your toy selections are made on time. If toy choices aren’t submitted by the 24-hour deadline, we’ll need to delay your swap and late fees will apply based on your current toys not being returned on schedule.

  • When you add toys to your cart, you might notice that some are not available until after your original swap date. In this case, your new swap date will shift to match the date when all your selected toys become available.

    You're welcome to keep your current toys until your new ones are ready — no late fees, no stress.

    If your toys become available sooner than expected, I’ll reach out to offer you an earlier swap date!

    We want every family to get the toys they’re excited about, while keeping things simple and smooth for everyone.

  • We rely on timely swaps to keep things flowing for all families. Late returns can delay other members from receiving their toys — thank you for understanding!

If toy choices aren’t submitted by the 24-hour deadline, we’ll need to delay your swap and late fees will apply based on your current toys not being returned on schedule.

    If toys are not returned by your scheduled swap date, a late fee of $1 per day, per toy or set will apply. For example, if you're subscribed to The Toy Box (5 toys) and are 5 days late, your account will be charged a $25 late fee once the toys are returned.

    Late fees are capped at $50 per swap cycle to keep things fair.

    Want to avoid a late fee?
    You’re always welcome to drop off your current toys to us on or before your swap date if you’re still finalizing new selections. That way, we can keep the inventory flowing and waive any late return fees.

    Returning toys on time helps us stay organized and ensures every family gets access to great play — thank you for being part of a smooth and thoughtful exchange system!
